Are you a local independent business looking to respond to customer demand for greener options? Being a "green" business is not really a set of rules but more a short list of action items.

• Contribute to a healthy environment: Profile product and service options that enhance the environment
• Provide meaningful employment: Exceed minimum employment and human rights code standards and provide on-the-job learning
• Buy local first: Give other local businesses a fair chance, and provide opportunities for independent local businesses to bid on all contracts; seek fair trade sources
• Help to build a strong community: Participate in a local community organization and/or fundraising effort in your local community or business group

Your business doesn't have to do all these things to become a member of GET. But... to become a member, your business should be committed to moving in the right direction in these areas.

Our members want to be part of the solution, and a great benefit of this network is that you obtain access to other businesses that share your values. We help customers vote with their dollars for people and planet. If that describes your business, we welcome your participation.
